Reiki is a powerful, yet simple natural healing system involving the laying on the hands. Universal energy which is the energy of Spirit, God/ Goddess, Buddha, All That Is, Nature flows through the Reiki channel, spilling out via the heart chakra to the hands and from the hands to the recipient which may be another person, an animal, plant, a situation, or environment. This technique can be given a received by anyone. It is taught by a series of attunements, which is the drawing of particular sacred symbols in the auric field this tunes the person’s physical and energetic bodies to the healing vibration thus allowing the person to be a clear channel for the energy flow. Once attuned to Reiki, the channel is open for life. Reiki energy is truly holistic. The energy flows to the area most in need of treatment, in the moment needed for balance, thus affecting the cause of the problem; for example a client may present with a headache. Even if your hands are on their head, the energy may flow to the digestive area if this is where the cause of the headache originated. The client may comment that their tummy feels warm or ‘buzzing’. As Reiki energy has this innate intelligence no direction is needed by the practitioner. The Reiki channel simply places their hands in different positions on the body and allows the energy to flow. Every Reiki treatment is different and every client will report different sensations, which can vary from a feeling of warmth, cold, tingling or buzzing or of general well being and relaxation.

WHAT IS REIKI?

We are all part of the universal energy which connects all things to all things! Science now shows us we are indeed connected to every thing through energy systems on this planet and in our universe. What is this energy that moves between one system and another? Intelligence? Information? Light?

Dr. Usui connected to this Universal Energy and gave us the Reiki System of Energy. Rei, meaning LIGHT, SUN, SOURCE; KI, as the Universal Energy Qi or CHI, a constantly spinning energy field which passes through everything.
REIKI TODAY:

Today Reiki is used in many ways for energy treatment that allow the Practitioner to move the universal energy of Ki, through their body and hands, to the client who is resting comfortably, ready to receive this healing universal bath of energy.

Reiki will go through the whole of the Practitioner to the Client, so the practitioner never uses their own energy and therefore is never depleted themselves. Meanwhile the client receives the benefit of this intense energy exchange and for the next few hours and days will notice many changes. Reiki can shift disease up and out of the cells if conditions are right for this to

happen in the client. Reiki can provide relaxation, rest and much needed support for anyone suffering from illness, pain, loss or sadness. These continued conditions can often affect the energy fields of an individual and Reiki, being Universal energy which we are all a part of, can increase the energy and almost like a high wattage dose to a lagging battery, can boost it to where the body can begin to recharge itself again.
Do we need this?

In a calm world, with order and peaceful lifestyles, perhaps not, however, perhaps in other times, we were open to receiving the universal energy streams from the plants and other life forms around us. In today’s chaotic world with fear and panic the primal response to just about anything, many feel their energy is scattered, ungrounded and lagging.

As we age, we sometimes become less active, and this too can create energy depletions in the physical body. When the body is low in energy, then we can become more susceptible to the illness around us. Our immune systems are often lagging and on overdrive with trying to stay up to the daily demands.

How do we get Reiki?

From practitioners who have received the Reiki Attunements from Master Teachers of Reiki Systems, Reiki is available around the world today, or through taking the Attunement Levels ourselves and using the Reiki either for ourselves or for others. We can either simply “receive” Reiki as a client of a practitioner, or we can take the classes and have the attunements passed to us, in a very similar manner as Dr. Usui first passed them to his colleagues, many years ago now.

REIKI SYSTEMS OF ENERGY

Dr. Usui first brought through the symbols of Reiki in Japan, when meditating high on Mt. Kurama, he received the Reiki Energy system in tack, into his crown Chakra. In doing so he had received an energy treatment he could share with others without depleting his own energy fields. From here he discovered he could also pass the Reiki Energy System to others and did so first with an assistant and his sister. From there Mrs. Takata offered the system to 22 students of Reiki and Reiki was then offered to many, both as a treatment and for training of students wishing to also offer Reiki treatment and training to others.

From here, we move into the ancient art of Sechiem Reiki which is founded in the systems of energy used in ancient Egypt. This system of Reiki was founded on the ancient symbols of Egypt. I find it is a system deeply connected to the stars! The great spiral curve of the pyramids at Gaza are on that very curve and align to the star systems in the heavens above
