Hakomi Therapy is a form of natural health and healing
therapy that aims to promote natural health- it is considered an alternative
and natural treatment used to enhance a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Ron Kurtz is the originator of the Hakomi Method of Body-Centered
Psychotherapy and a preeminent influence in progressive psychotherapy.
'Hakomi' is a Hopi word meaning "Who are you? - You are, who
you are!" or "How do you relate?"
The Hakomi method combines Western psychology and systems theory
with Eastern philosophy and body-centered techniques. Kurtz incorporated
into Hakomi five principles: mindfulness, nonviolence, organicity,
unity and body-mind holism.
Hakomi uses the tools of touch, massage, energy work, movement
education, and body-mind awareness. By helping the client follow
bodily tensions, feelings, and sensations, it leads to an awareness
of the unconscious beliefs and attitudes that drive behavior and
limit responses.
