Dermovision is a form of natural health and healing
therapy that aims to promote natural health- it is considered an alternative
and natural treatment used to enhance a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Dermovision
is the alleged ability to see with one's skin, in the same way as
with the eyes. Children are said to be able to learn more quickly
than adults, however people of any age can supposedly learn to see
with their skin, including people who have lost their eyesight.
EYES IN YOUR HANDS - HOW AND WHY? A DISCUSSION ABOUT PSYCHOMETRY
by Beverly C. Jaegers
What is behind our ability to 'see' with our hands?
Is it 'synesthesia', or dermo-optic cells in our skin?
How do the images transfer to the brain or vision center? Or do
they?
1. we do not see only with our eyes
2. everything we see is upside down
3. eyes are only camera lenses that process images from reflected
light
4. our brains are the second-stage process
5. the brain has the ability to produce light independently of the
eyes (see astronaut training)
6. special dermo-optic cells in the body are thinly scattered in
most of the skin, but are concentrated in certain areas - hands,
neck, back, face
7. information is 'picked up' by these cells and then transferred
to the brain
8. this process gives a perfect picture of the object you are holding
9. other information about the object must be elicited by asking
the COMMAND QUESTIONS.
10. answers to the questions are provided by the superconscious
portion of the brain/mind combination
11. mind must interpret what brain then 'sees'
ENERGIES
All objects of solid mass are contained within an energy field
(which holds them in solid form). Having no better term, we must
call the information-potential of the solid object an energy field.
Whether it is the same energy field or not, we do not yet know.
It is entirely possible that every solid object possesses something
like the DNA which controls its existence and characteristics. It
also holds the meaning and natural history of that solid object.
It seems evident that all objects having solid form also have some
means of recording what occurs around it or in its vicinity inside
that energy field. These occurrences which occur in the immediate
environment are somehow recorded by the object and become a permanent
part of its energy field.
There is no other explanation for the fact that a stone retains
the impression of its natural habitat, even to seismic events in
its vicinity, not to mention events of all types, cataclysmic or
otherwise, which occur to human beings in that exact vicinity as
well. They become part of its energy field and can be retrieved.
We theorize that this information is somehow recorded by the magnetic
field of the object, just as is the voice on a tape recording...or
a video recording. This explanation is the most feasible. There
is a definite modification of the existing field when something
happens in the surrounding area, whether or not humans are present.
This is the remaining puzzle in psychometry itself. How does the
object retain these images and occurrences? How does the human brain,
like a tape player, have the ability to replay the background, events
and history of an object, or the place from which it originally
came?
How can a stone picked up from the site where a body was found
provide a description of the victim, explain how the murder was
done (or the accident) and give physical characteristics and psychological
characteristics of the murderer/s? How can the same stone provide
information from not only that place and that time, but even provide
an index of some sort which allows the mind to go to an other place
where the sequence itself actually began before the time of death?
We know that it can through many experiments. Some years ago, when
in Atlanta GA on the child-killing mass-murder case that happened
there, a perfect example was given. I was unable to physically climb
down the mountain to a site where one of the children had been discarded.
I was able to get someone else to climb down (one of the dog handlers)
to get me a stone.
From this stone I was able to describe not only the victim, but
a City intersection, even to the type of stores and gas stations
on the corners; which was recognized by one of the Police Team as
the exact location from which this child had been kidnapped. He'd
been shopping for his mother when he disappeared - at the location
I had described. I also had a small sock which had been on the body
to work, and it pro-vided the same information. It also provided
a description of a van which had been the vehicle which took Jeter
away from that intersection. But the stone had been taken from a
mountainside (Redwine, I believe) and had lain underneath the child's
body. It had never been to the intersection. However, it did contain
that information.
This has happened in the same way, or related ways hundreds of
times over the years, in other cases from crime to archaeology,
to seismology and paleontology, and even in a small experiment in
earthquake prediction done for a scientist.
The solid object contains all of this information, and probably
much more, if we had the key to unlocking all the object could provide
in the way of information.
Psychometry means 'mind-measure'. It is the process of retrieving
this information. Today we feel that words such as 'psychic touch'
'psi-touch' or 'IRV-inductor remote viewing' better describe what
occurs in the process itself. This Psi-touch occurs when an object
is held in the human hand, generally the left hand. Theoretically,
the left hand connects with the right side of the human brain, which
is the imaging center of the brain. This is only a partial explanation
of what happens, and the method of transmission from hand to brain
is not yet known.
Advanced students no longer need to touch the object, but merely
to look at it. Extremely advanced work can be done by concentration
on the object and the questions you wish to ask about its history
alone. Recent experimentation with this level has added to the knowledge
about the skills involved by using a radio talk-show as a research
lab. Listeners on radio or computer links are instructed to visualize
a target object which has been placed on a table in my office. They
are asked to visualize the object, then to either call in or email
the description of the object. After a half hour the description
is provided so that they may score their progress. Only I know what
the object is and even the talk-show Host does not have any information
about what it may be.
Originally, I had to classify the abilities involved with this
activity as clairvoyant in nature, as no other word was available.
Clairvoyance means 'clear-seeing' - yet it does not fit the activity
very well. It did make more sense in cases where there was no physical
contact with the object, nor would it be within view. In such cases,
with training, the mind can provide the information just as it would
if the object were in hand.
The beginnings, of course, are with the actual physical contact
with the item. The object may range from a color printed on a card,
a playing card, a symbol card, to a more complex target such as
a rock or piece of clothing.
Science has provided a few answers ranging from the 'energy-sensors'
contained in the bill of the duck-billed platypus, to the 'shadow
sensing' ability in the neck of the rabbit, and to what are called
'dermo-optic' or light-sensitive cells in the bodies of animals
and humans. The mechanism and workings of these cells is still not
completely understood, but their existence has been documented.
The other answers are thus within reach.
Experimentation by our own group has provided the fact that the
non-dominant hand is the best to do information-retrieval. For most
persons who are right-handed, the left hand is best and more sensitive
than the right. Either hand could be used, but the left is much
more receptive to these energies. We knew this through constant
repetition and observation over months and years of experimentation
with objects held in one or both hands.
Approximately 15% of the human race is normally left-handed, and
their right hands may well be the more sensitive. Mixed dominance
occurs when a person naturally left-handed is changed by caregivers
or teachers to a right-handed individual. It is best to use both
hands equally for a time until it is determined which is more sensitive.
What happens when the object is touched, or held in the hand? This
is the ongoing question we hope science can ferret out and provide.
We know that actual visual images of the shape, size and texture
of the object can be provided through the photo-sensitive cells
in the skin - similar to what occurs when the lens of a camera opens
and reflected light is imprinted on the film.
We do not know how more sophisticated and detailed information about
the object's history, environment or ownership is provided.
Photographs of an item or a human can be used to yield similar
answers, yet we have found that a POLAROID photo works many times
better than a reproduced photograph from a film negative.
The reason seems to be that the person or object was actually present
when the Polaroid photo was taken. The light reflected onto the
film derived from the actual physical presence of the object or
the human (or a scene) In other words, the target object was there,
and some part of its energies or essence was captured on the film.
A photo from a negative does yield information, but it is more
difficult to get it, as the photograph was never in the physical
presence of the target object.
A photograph in a book or newspaper is even more difficult, being
much more distant from the target object. Videos or TV yield answers,
but again, these fall into the much more difficult category. They
are electronic images, even when they are being filmed 'live'.
When learning this skill, it is best to hold the target objects
in the hand physically making contact with it until you are experienced
at doing this.
Using the COMMAND QUESTIONS will assist you in determining what
type and what variety of information you wish to gain from the object.
Holding it in the left hand, which is more receptive, connects directly
with the side of the brain which is dominant in sensitivity - and
creates some amount of input in the consciousness... whether images
or details of surroundings.
This requirement of using the receptive left hand is my own discovery,
as no other researcher seems ever to have discovered the fact that
a bias of any kind has any relevance to this type of work. Almost
none of the so-called authorities in psychic research have ever,
to my knowledge, discovered this evident difference in the hands.
