Exercise is one of the The 2 major forms of exercise - Aerobic and
Anaerobic exercise is short duration, demanding and intensive activity
which uses stored energy in the form of ATP(adenosine triphosphate)
to generate the Phosphocreatine molecules necessary for muscle contraction.
After an initial, very short time muscles are further provided with
ATP by the conversion of immediatly available blood sugars to lactic
acid. following this, activity becomes limited by the ability of
the heart and lungs to provide the needed oxygen, this is the point
at which, if the exercise contiues, it becomes Aerobic exercise.
Aerobic exercise is longer duration activity than Anaerobic requiring
higher levels of stamina but not necessarily great physical strength.
The word Aerobic means at it's simplest 'with Oxygen' reflecting
the intention of a practitioner to increase the ability of the cardiovascular
system to extract and deliver oxygen to the needed muscle groups.
contrast to Anaerobic exercise which forces the creation of greater
muscle bulk, Aerobic exercise burns calories very effectively without
dramatically increasing muscle growth.
Aerobic exercise concentrate on building stamina and endurance
by improving the cardiovascular system whilst avoiding the overstressing
of any parts of the body.
The heart, Lungs and Veins are the target of Aerobic exercise,
these are responsible for ensuring that sufficient oxygen reaches
the muscles enabling us to perform physical tasks over extended
exercise involves a high degree of motion orientated exercise usually
in a specially choreographed manner.
Practioners of Aerobics are typically able to retain a higher degree
of activity than other people for longer periods of time and they
recover from fatigue much quicker.
